Hi, My husband and I were also in Niederaula looking for family history and were so fortunate to be introduced to Heidi Roessing who walked us through N., showing us where his family had lived and the cemetery. My husband's greatgrandmother was Caroline Nussbaum m. Joel Goldschmidt. Their daughter Ester was born nearby in Breitenbach. She married Saloman Apt from Niederaula. There seem to be alot of possible connections between your family and his: Nussbaum/Yoel/Niederaula. Do your records show any connections? Linda
I was born in Dresden, Germany in 1931 and in 1939 was sent alone on a Kindertransport to England to escape the Holocaust. I was educated in England including the University of London, School of Economics and at age 27 immigrated to the United States.
In October 2007 The Erste Burgemeister invited me back to Dresden. This is my first trip back in 15 years.
